“Winter is so gloomy,” said one of the Triad. “Let’s add in a mechanism wherein if it’s a certain amount of cold, rain changes shape.”
Another Aspect added to this idea.
“How about crystal flakes which pile up like clouds on the ground?”
The others gave vigorous nods.
“Make it slippery, but soft to fall on. Make it so dogs want to dig in their noses and frolic.”
“It could dampen sound and be generally peaceful, but there should be some danger, too. So folks want to be safe at home.”
“Wait a sec…why not use this to store water in mountains?”
Form and function? Now the Committee was cooking.
“How about crafting them so each crystal is a momentary gem, no two ever the same?”
“Yes! Though sometimes let’s make twins, and have them fall on separate sides of the world, so the civilians’ll never know.”
The Triad broke into applause. Most every idea on the table was brilliant, but this was a standout. They could all feel it.
“Perfect! Now there’s something to anticipate when it’s cold,” said an Aspect.
They paused, reveling in satisfaction, and then the meeting moved on.
“Now to our next item of business: slugs.”
I loved this earlier today, Jordan - great to read it here.
This is awesome.
