With focus back on The Green Room, this seems as good a time as ever to post my Fall Fruit Power Rankings. This is a new feature I debuted last September, with the 2021 Summer Rankings featuring surprisingly powerful performances from upstarts like nectarines and tomatoes.
And now we’re full on into winter and fall ended awhile ago, but I needed to process what transpired. To fathom and receive confirmation. Because while nectarines and tomatoes had shocking performances, the Fall 2021 season was even more flabbergasting. A newcomer has arisen, you see, a rookie so mighty and scrumptious it has unseated—at least for this year—a champion whose reign has always and forever been secure at Number 1.
